How to Pin a Tweet to Increase Views and Conversions

Twitter’s timeline has undergone quite a few changes over the past months, from the new updated cover photo to the updated typeface. But, maybe people aren’t aware of the new pinned tweets on their timeline. This feature mimics Facebook’s Pin to Top feature, your tweets to be pinned to the top of your page, so it’s easy for your followers to view important messages. For example, you may want to highlight a promotion or production launch.

How to Pin a Tweet

1. Login to your Twitter account and navigate to your profile

2. Find the tweet that you would like to pin

3. From the more menu within your tweet (the three dots beside the delete icon), select “Pin to your profile page”

4. Refresh your page to see your newly pinned tweet

There’s no expiry of pinned tweets, but you may want to switch it every so often to keep your profile fresh. Here’s a post I did about making sure your pins always lead back to your website that you may find helpful!
